Our Core Values

Our values are extremely important to us. They outline what we stand for, how we behave and what’s important to us.

As a student at Ůӟó, it’s important that you uphold these values too, while you’re here, and hopefully beyond your time with us.

  • Listen and respond to questions without prejudice
  • Be aware of and responsible for how your attitude and emotions can impact on other people
  • Take time to actively listen and endeavour to understand other people’s opinions

…and what you shouldn’t

  • Jump to conclusions and make assumptions
  • Express non-constructive, negative or personal views of others and their opinions

Always Learner First

What you should do…

  • Treat all learners with respect and as individuals

  • Involve learners in the decisions you make
  • Appreciate our learners’ perspective – have empathy with them

…and what you shouldn’t

  • Blame learners for things that are our responsibility
  • Prioritise operational needs before those of the learners
  • Take an approach that isn’t learner-focused
  • Fail to listen to, and act on, learner feedback
