Freedom of Information and Environmental Information Regulations
The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA 2000) and the Environmental Information Regulation (EIR 2004) give members of the public the right to access information held by public bodies such as Ůӟó. This right applies to all digital and hard copy records held by the College, including material held in archive.
You have the right to request any information held by the College and we are committed to the principles of openness and transparency, however certain types of information will be withheld where appropriate, under exemptions set out in the legislation. More details can be found in our:
Freedom of Information & Environmental Information Regulation Policy
Charges for information
We are permitted to make a reasonable charge for information which is not readily available. Further details on how charges are calculated can be found in the policy.
Publication Scheme
Under the Freedom of Information Act, public bodies are required to have a Publication Scheme detailing the types of information held and how it can be accessed.
The Ůӟó Publication Scheme is based on the model scheme provided for Further Education colleges by the Information Commissioner’s Office. The information the College must make available is grouped in the following categories:
- Who we are and what we do
- What we spend and how we spend it
- What our priorities are and how we are doing
- How we make decisions
- Policies and procedure
- Lists and registers
- The services we offer
A list of the types of information held by the College is included in the Publication Scheme. This list is not comprehensive, but gives an indication of the types of information available. Wherever possible, the College is committed to making information available via this website, but where this is not possible, it can be requested using the contact form, or by contacting the Governance Officer directly:
