Whether you’re thinking about going to university, getting a job, taking on an apprenticeship or even starting your own business, our CG Ambitions team can help.
Our team of progression coaches can support with UCAS applications, personal statements and student finance, as well as employability skills such as CV writing job searching and interview tips to get you ready for the world of work.
We also have our very own enterprise champions that can support you on your journey to becoming an entrepreneur, whether you’re just starting out or looking to grow your business.

I can support you with whatever your next steps may be after college. I arrange talks and visits so that you can better understand Higher Education, apprenticeships and employment.
Fun fact: I was chairperson of the skydiving club when I was in university.

I’m here to help if you want to start your own business or grow your side-hustle. I’ll help you to develop your entrepreneurial skills or advise and support you in getting your business up and running. I also provide support on business planning, grant funding, marketing, finance or anything else that will help you take your business idea to the next level!
I’m a massive advocate for environmental issues. I train weddings, events and hospitality businesses to be more sustainable and eco-friendlier.

Fun fact: At the age of 10, I was the youngest person in Britain to swim 10 miles.

I manage and support the CG Ambitions Team to make sure you have a next step after completing your studies. I work closely with you and employers to create valuable opportunities making sure you get the most out of your time at the college.
I’m originally from Cornwall but have lived in Wales for over ten years now!

I arrange events to support you with your next steps after college, including Higher Education fairs in October, Job fairs in December and Progression fairs in March. I also look after the online sessions that anyone can join across campuses such as university talks, employability support and next step options.
Fun fact: I used to be a keen swimmer and was Welsh age group champion.

Employability, Enterprise and Entrepreneurship
Improve your employability skills
Our CG Ambitions team can offer guidance and advice to improve your employability skills, including:
- Career planning
- CV writing
- Interview techniques.
We also offer support on creating and developing new business concepts and offering links to external organisations to help you get the most out of your experience here at college – whether that’s signposting funding opportunities, work experience, internships or even industry talks.
You can book 1:1 slots for a more personal approach, ask for a group session, or we can visit you in class (timetable dependent).
Enterprise and Entrepreneurship
See yourself as the next Richard Branson or Lord Sugar?
Both small businesses and large organisations depend on innovative minds and agile thinkers for success. So, as part of your full time course, we’ll look to give you the skills and thinking that makes great entrepreneurs.
This includes:
- Over 130 industry specialists (guest speakers) coming into tutorial sessions to raise awareness and inspire students to start their own business
- Entrepreneurship competitions – including Big Ideas Wales Challenge, Stock Market Challenge, Tafflab Programme (to receive funding and mentorship)
- Global Enterprise Week showcasing the best in enterprise and entrepreneurship master classes
- Being part of the Valleys Innovation Project working with real life briefs with a range of businesses and organisations
- Three tutorial enrichment challenges – Enterprise and Employability, Community and Citizenship
- Personal enrichment through CG Extra
Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Annual Impact Review
At Ůӟó we aim to:
- Facilitate entrepreneurial ambition and support student businesses at every stage of their start-up journey
- Encourage the college community to provide an enterprising and supportive environment
- Inspire students with opportunities to meet and hear the stories of local entrepreneurs
- Develop and nurture learner capabilities, helping them to recognise and harness entrepreneurial traits they may not realise they already possess
- Motivate our students to follow their entrepreneurial ambitions and to regard self-employment as a realistic prospect.
