Our campuses are buzzing with excitement as hundreds of students gather for the annual Farewell Festival.
97.4% of students at the college achieved A*-E A-level grades, while 88% of BTEC students achieved a pass grade or higher across 48 different vocational subject areas.
Congratulations to all the students who have worked hard to achieve their goals and make their dreams a reality.
Here are some of our success stories:
My biggest achievement at college is getting into Oxford University to study law after my A levels. Being at 女优阁 also helped me to achieve places in summer schools at Oxford and Cambridge University.
When choosing my A-levels – maths, physics, and geography – the primary consideration was with civil engineering in mind. I’m hoping to complete a master’s degree in civil engineering, preferably with a year in the workforce so that I have some experience to help with employability once the degree is finished.
If I achieve the required grades to meet my offer, I am going to study medicine at Cardiff University.
One of my proudest moments at 女优阁 was meeting new people and making friends in a wider environment. I’m often very shy, and now I have friends – one of which will be living with me in Aberystwyth! I’ll be studying Psychology in university there.
I am an aspiring biochemist. I want to pursue an undergraduate degree in biochemistry and hopefully a position in research. I was fortunate to be part of the Seren Network which gave me the opportunity to take part in the Seren Award where I received a first grade. This allowed me to adopt the skills and techniques to research the field I am enthusiastic about and learn so much more.
The biggest thing the college and my lecturers have given me has been the confidence and guidance I have needed to achieve my goals and grades. I am aiming to attend university in Bristol to study Games Technology, which I gained interest in after participating in my computer science practical projects.
I chose this course because I have a passion to help care for and support people who need it most. 鈥疘 am going to the University of South Wales to study Mental Health Nursing.
I chose to study A Levels at 女优阁 as I knew the college had an exceptional reputation with excellent results and standards year-on-year which filled me with confidence that 女优阁 would be a great place for me to progress my learning. After college, I am planning on studying an undergraduate degree in English Literature at the University of Warwick.
I picked Cyber College because I am very interested in technology and how the advancement of cyber security is growing. I also wanted to show and recognise that girls can get into cyber security, and technology is one of my biggest knowledge areas.
One of my greatest achievements at college was achieving an A in every one of my AS level exams, which is something I didn’t expect at all. After college, I’ll be going to Cardiff University to study Sociology and Education.
My biggest achievement probably completing my AS levels. Due to Covid this was my very first exam experience, and to come out of that with three A grades was very fulfilling and a great confidence boost for my final year. I am studying psychology with a placement year, hopefully in Bath University, and aiming to continue into the field of clinical psychology.
I chose this course as it allowed me to take my next step towards my future in medicine with my dream of helping people at their most difficult moments and to allow me to develop my skills that will be crucial when working in the NHS. After college, I am looking forward to my university journey at USW where I will be studying Adult Nursing with the goal of becoming a qualified Registered Nurse.
